Joe Allon
Joe_Allon_webWell known for his witty and amusing patter, Joe Allon was a natural to join the after dinner speakers curcuit following his retirement from football. He's in high demand not only as a speaker but as a comedian, host and compere. Some of Joe's funniest stories revolve around ex footballer turned Hollywood movie star Vinnie Jones. The pair shared a house for several years and remain close friends to this day. Dennis Wise and Gazza were also in Joe's 'gang' and there's plenty of interesting stories to be had there!

Joe was born in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear and began his career at Newcastle United followed by a spell with Swansea City and then Hartlepool United and Chelsea. The latter part of his career was spent with Port Vale, Brentford and Lincoln City. Joe returned to Hartlepool in 1995 and retired 3 years later following a persistant knee injury.

Steve Wraith
Steve_WraithSteve Wraith has a fascinating story to tell. From unremarkable and sometimes harsh beginnings in Newcastle, Steve has forged a successful career as an author, actor, broadcaster, promoter and prolific fund raiser for charity.

At the age of 16 Steve was already a budding entrepreneur printing and selling t-shirts and producing a football fans magazine. At this time he also had some very famous pen pals, namely Ronnie and Reggie, The Kray Twins. The offer of free advertising to the notoriously publicity hungry twins was the start of a close relationship that endured until the deaths of Ronnie, Reggie and older brother Charlie. Steve's book, 'The Krays. The Geordie Connection' is like no other book ever written about the infamous sixties gangsters as it covers the final years of their lives behind bars written by someone who was in close, face to face contact on a regular basis.

Testimonials

I can honestly say that 'An Evening with Frank Worthington' at La Ruidera Restaurant on Friday night was the best night out we've had during our many years living on the Costa Blanca. It was such a joy to see my husband Peter smiling and laughing throughout the entire evening. We'll be looking out for Ann's next event with eagerness!
