 Well known for his witty and amusing patter, Joe Allon was a natural to join the after dinner speakers curcuit following his retirement from football. He's in high demand not only as a speaker but as a comedian, host and compere. Some of Joe's funniest stories revolve around ex footballer turned Hollywood movie star Vinnie Jones. The pair shared a house for several years and remain close friends to this day. Dennis Wise and Gazza were also in Joe's 'gang' and there's plenty of interesting stories to be had there!Joe was born in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear and began his career at Newcastle United followed by a spell with Swansea City and then Hartlepool United and Chelsea. The latter part of his career was spent with Port Vale, Brentford and Lincoln City. Joe returned to Hartlepool in 1995 and retired 3 years later following a persistant knee injury.
